'Walking to Work'

I just love this idea of walking to work even though you work at home! If I didn't start at 4am I would definitely take the challenge!

However I think I am going to make a HUGE effort to walk HOME from work - what a concept!!

I also think I will start getting my kids to walk to school! What an excellent way to start each day! Once around the block will do us all the world of good!!!

Trying my hand at 'Coupons'

I decided that it's about time I tried my hand at collecting coupons!!
Well actually that's not the problem!! It's actually remembering to use them!!

So I have joined this website lots of tips and coupon information!!

Around the World in 80 Day's

Jam is studying 'Around the World for 80 Days' by Jules Verne for Geography this term.

One of the fun things he is doing is reading it with his Grandma!!
She is away right now and this is a great way for them to stay close.
Grandma is reading each chapter along with Jam and they are emailing each other what they think about the book and discussing different things they find interesting!!
Jam thinks this is so much fun! He gets to use the computer and practice his typing skills and have something in common with his Grandma at the same time!!

Another webite I found that I am going to incorporate into this Geography term is:

They have some great ideas to use with this book!!

Jam is also going to make a lap book with his favorite highlights from the book, including a timeline.

I will post an update when it's completed!!!

Time 4 Learning Month Trial Review

I've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. Time4Learning can be used for homeschool, afterschool and summer skill sharpening. Be sure to come back and read about my experience.

I have signed up today to review Time4Learning for a month!! So excited!

It looks quite a good program, however for me it seems a little more than I could afford each month.  I am very interested in seeing how the kids enjoy it.  I even signed little Jam up for the PreK program.  Our application to test the program is still pending for now so hopefully they will approve us!!

Keep posted to see what the kiddo's think of it.

We will be using this as a supplemental program for the month, as we already follow the Milestones Academy program pretty closely.  Milestones Academy is a free curriculum resource intended for LDS Christian families or anyone else desiring to further a child’s education.

Jam is following year 5 and Boo is following year 3 You can find the curriculum here
