About Me

About Me

I am originally from England (and so is my husband) but we live in the United States. I am lucky to be married to my best friend. My husband and I have known each other forever. We starting dating when I was 16 and he was 18. We were married when he returned home from serving a mission for our church. We both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints  We have 5 children.

I work from home teaching English as a second language and I have home schooled my kids for three years. I am lucky enough to have been on the Schoolhousereview Crew this year and have loved it!

I blog about our experiences with Home School, family life, and Little J's Amblyopia.

When we started homeschooling three years ago I searched the internet high and low for ideas, reviews and read blog after blog. We love to try new things  and I have been lucky enough to review a lot of them and blog about our experience.

Heather - My angel in heaven passed away when she was three and a half. She was a beautiful girl and missed and loved by everyone who knew her. My children talk about her a lot even though she passed away before they were born. She is definitely always in our hearts and minds.

Samuel - Was stillborn at 26 weeks, we love him even though we never got to look into his eyes. He is always in our hearts.

Jam - 14 and finishing up 8th grade he is loving and kind. We always remind him he brought the laughter and happiness back into our home after his older sister passed away. His favorite hobbies are playing the piano, reading, scouts and swimming.

Boo - 12 and finishing up 6th grade. She is my little perfectionist! She loves playing the piano, swimming, and her American Girl dolls! She is always willing to help and goes the extra mile.

Captain - 6 This little chap is a firecracker. He has huge opinions for his little size. Everyone loves him which is not surprising as he is definitely charming (except when he is a stinker). He managed to complete his goal of joining the swim team and is the youngest and probably the most spoiled member. He is just about done with 1st grade which puts him a year ahead if he was in PS. His reading is doing great, and he has recently started piano lessons.
